This week we were asked to paint using the opposite colors and values, in the Opposites Challenge for the Daily Paintworks. I chose to paint an inverse version of the subject I used last week.

For this weeks task, The Citrus Challenge, I decided to paint the same scene as last week, because it had citrus in it, and I wanted to see if I could do it a bit looser. Well I did. Some parts of that I like better and some not so much.

Carol Marine posted another "Stroke Challenge" this week at Daily Paintworks.com. The gist is to mix your paint accurately and then get it on the canvas in one purposeful stroke. No blending or fussing with edges etc.

I did fairly well, but forgot myself and got a bit fussy in a few spots.
