Conservatory Fades

Acrylic on Panel - 40 x 30 inches

Another big one, up on the walls of The Mill. I love how this structure fades into the sky on certain days. Maybe someone else will too.

Grove Sunset Tiled

Acrylic on Panel - 30 x 30 inches

If you can't guess the subject, even with the title, there's no help for you. And no fault. We all have different eyes and mindsets. I'd really like to sell these two (previous post) as a pair, but I'm pretty sure I'll see this one coming home soon.

Grove Sunset

Acrylic on Canvas - 30 x 30 inches

Generally the view West from Alamo Square Park is pretty gray come evening, no matter how sunny the day was. On rare occasions it looks more like this.

Zinnias

Acrylic on Panel - 9 x 12 inches

I was overwhelmed by the brilliance of the garden, so I chose to focus on on tiny spot in the corner.

Flowers

Acrylic on Panel - 9 x 12 inches

Beautiful flowers in front of the Conservatory of Flowers, and somehow it finally dawned on me that they could be in the same composition.

Three Cherries Once More

Acrylic on Panel - 6 x 6 inches

Again, I started with pre-mixing big puddles of the colors I knew I needed, and tried to keep the brushwork freer and looser.

Three Cherries Again

Acrylic on Panel - 6 x 6 inches

I started again, mixing my puddles first. It was easy to remember the colors I needed after painting the same scene yesterday, and by pre-mixing, painting was much faster.

Fountain

Acrylic on Panel - 8 x 10 inches

A quick study of the back field and the fountain in my mother's garden. I left out the fence, because, who really wants to add a bunch of static horizontal stripes into such a composition? Really.

Bicycle Girl

Acrylic on Panel - 6 x 6 inches

I've struggled with the values and colors in painting this many times. This time that was what I concentrated on most, not worrying about details in shape and form etc.

Red Cafe

Acrylic on Panel - 6 x 6 inches.

A quick impression of a sidewalk cafe in Charleston, SC. I love how they paired bright red plastic chairs with sky blue metal tables.
