Acrylic on Cardstock - 4 x 6 inches
Where does the time go? Don't tell me. It would spoil the mystery. It's been over a month since the workshop, I've been swamped and...
In truth I fell into that old trap of just not getting started again, and felt I should really be somehow such a much better painter than before that I just didn't feel up to a masterpiece etc. Finally a voice said, just get back at it. To add to that voice, Carol Marine, and others, have taken up the torch that Karin Jurick dropped last year that we all missed so much.
The Daily Paintworks gang have instituted a new challenge blog, and just in time (though I missed the first two).
Take a look at all the other great entries and try not to laugh at mine too much. I'm just getting my bearings again after a long break.

Gringo, glad to see you are back in the studio, what a great start too!
The great thing about DPW Challenges is there are no deadlines! You can still submit paintings to the first ones and as many as you like. Have fun!
Great job super G! Love that dark velvelty background you chose.
YAY, I'm glad you're doing it. I just joined it too this week. I think this rose is beautiful. Your work just has a special quality, I can't even say what it is - it's Gringoish.
This second paragraph ("In truth...")of this post really resonated with me -- same here on the thoughts you were having. We must soldier on, because we can!
