San Francisco Rooftops

Acrylic on Canvas Paper

This months Different Strokes from Different Folks assignment. I was really hoping to do something a little more abstract, and that's how I started, but I forgot to stop and put in a lot more detail than I intended. Take a look at the other entries. There's one by Jill Donahue that better captures what I was imagining, and lots of other great ones, including another superb piece by the host, Karin Jurick.

Well say what you want, I think this is great. Very abstract actually. Monochromatic. Karin's always great. But I like what you've done here.

This is a fantastic rendition of the DSFDF Challenge. Glad you started a blog - I have been wanting to comment on the other wonderful entries you have submitted for DSFDF!

All of the highlight & shadow work you do really paid off on this one. Really terrific contrast and solid Abstract lines. All of your values are so great! I like that you kept the palette pretty much monochromatic with the exception of that yellow building which adds so much interest. Fantastic job!

Great colors and highlights...looks abstract to me, but then I'm the queen of detail...unfortunately!
