There's quite a few of these about the neighborhood, and most have been decorated colorfully.

Dark Road Down

Acrylic on Panel - 8 x 10 inches

Another painting from a photo by Samantha Buller. I wouldn't normally pick a scene like this, with such a dark foreground, but I thought I'd like the challenge. I was right. (a rare occurrence, to be sure).

Eucalyptus Farm

Acrylic on Panel - 8 x 10 inches

Another piece I did as part of Samantha Buller's workshop in Healdsburg. I've often tried to paint the faint, far hills, but on location the light is tricky. I think this was easier in the studio, working from a photograph, but hopefully it will remain with me the next time I'm on location.

Crosswalk Farm

Acrylic on Panel - 16 x 20 inches

This was painted from a photo during a workshop with the wonderful Samantha Buller at the Healdsburg Art Atelier. She's an excellent teacher and really upped my game. I hope it sticks.

In the Garden

Acrylic on Panel - 5 x 7 inches

A commissioned piece, painted from a photo. Usually provided photos aren't great sources, but I liked just about everything from this one.

Winter Light

Acrylic on Panel - 5 x 7 inches

Clearly this is a Spring scene with new blooms abounding, but the sky is so dark and foreboding, it just felt wintry.

Grove Sunset II

Acrylic on Canvas - 30 x 30 inches

Grove Street looking West, from the steps at Alamo Square Park.

The Conservatory of Flowers

Acrylic on Panel - 40 x 30 inches

I'd done one where the building was almost invisible in the grey fog of Winter. Now that the warmer weather is here I thought I'd do a sunnier version.

Swimmer (update)

Acrylic on Canvas - 40 x 30 inches

I thought the colors weren't vibrant enough, so I added some washes of color.

Morning Camp

Acrylic on Panel - 13 x 18 inches

Posting this one again because I rediscovered it and have it on display at the Page as part of Divisadero Artwalk this Thursday.
